Jessica Alba is the latest celebrity to join the Hollywood baby boom. The actress took to her Facebook page Wednesday morning to announce she's expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren.

"I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news – Honor is going to be a Big Sister!" she wrote. "Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else."

Alba, 29, and Warren, 32, met on the set of 2004's "Fantastic Four" and got engaged three years later. They quietly wed at the Beverly Hills courthouse in May 2008, two months before welcoming daughter Honor.

Two ICE agents shot

Two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were shot in the line of duty today approximately 100 miles outside Mexico City Tuesday. One of the officers has died from his wounds, reports the Associated Press, quoting an anonymous official. A U.S. Embassy spokesman in Mexico City tells CBS News the two agents were shot while driving from Mexico City to Monterey by unknown assailants.
"ICE is working with the U.S. State Department, Mexican authorities and other U.S. law enforcement partners to investigate the shooting. Our thoughts and prayers are with our colleagues," ICE officials said in a statement this afternoon.
Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano condemned the attacks.

Rising food prices push more into poverty

Rising food prices have pushed about 44 million people into poverty in developing countries since last June, the World Bank warned Tuesday. Food costs are continuing to rise to near 2008 levels, when price spikes in food and oil had devastating impacts on the poor, the development lender said, noting its numbers were released ahead of a Group of 20 finance chiefs meeting this week. "Global food prices are rising to dangerous levels and threaten tens of millions of poor people around the world," World Bank president Robert Zoellick said in a statement. "The price hike is already pushing millions of people into poverty, and putting stress on the most vulnerable, who spend more than half of their income on food."

According to the bank's latest Food Price Watch, prices rose by 15 percent between October 2010 and January 2011.

The report came ahead of a two-day G20 meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors scheduled to open Friday in Paris.

Zoellick told reporters that the report "underscores the need for the G20 to put food first."

"The Bank?s Food Price Index shows food prices are now 29 percent higher than they were a year ago and only three percent below the peak of the last food crisis in June 2008," he said in opening remarks in a media conference call.

"Clearly, this is serious cause for concern."

The bank highlighted that food inflation swelled the ranks living in extreme poverty, which it defines as under $1.25 a day per person. This results in people having less to eat, and rising malnutrition, according to the report.

"This year is shaping up to be a very tough year for the chronically malnourished," Zoellick said.

"We know high and volatile food prices are a potent force," he warned, citing food riots in 2008.

An edgy public radio show has revealed what it purports to be the secret recipe for Coca Cola -- a formula which has become the stuff of legend after decades of careful marketing by one of the world's most recognizable brands.

The recipe is supposedly kept in a locked vault, and Coke at one point had an advertising campaign about the two top executives who knew the secret and couldn't fly on the same plane or the formula could be lost forever.

"We think we may have found the original recipe for Coca Cola," said the host of "This American Life" Ira Glass in opening the hour-long program that aired over the weekend.

"One of the most famously guarded trade secrets on the planet -- I have it right here and I am going to read it to you and read it to the world and make my case for why it is real, despite what Coca Cola may say."

The handwritten formula was discovered in a pharmacist's old book of recipes and published in the company's hometown paper -- the Atlanta Journal Constitution -- in 1979, Glass said.

"If that seems a strange and random place to find this kind of thing, well, Coke was invented by a pharmacist and was originally sold at pharmacy soda fountains," he said.

The book apparently originally belonged to an acquaintance of Coke's inventor, John Pemberton, and was then passed from one pharmacist to another before it was eventually discovered by the newspaper columnist.

The newspaper even published a picture of the recipe, which was clear enough to read each ingredient.

What convinced Glass is that the formula matched -- and filled out -- a partial recipe found in Coke's archives that also became public.

Aderotimi was said to have paid more than $1,000 for the procedure. Police are searching for a suspect whose background is musical, not medical.

Lidvian Zelaya

A one-year-old Chinese girl has apparently set a new world record for having the most fingers and toes on any living person. Lei Yadi Min has seven toes on each foot and six fingers on each hand for a total of 26 digits. Min is now waiting for official recognition. The current record holders are two children in India, one who is five-years-old and the other is 15. Both have 12 fingers and 13 toes. All of the extra digits are a result of polydactyly, a congenital anomaly that occurs in one in every 500 live births with the extra digits usually non-functional. Although quite a large number, the children still are short of the all-time number of 15 fingers and 16 toes that an anonymous child, also in China, was born with. That child didn't make the record books however because the extra digits were removed shortly after birth by doctors

Kristine Casey offered to be a surrogate for her daughter Sara Connell after she found herself unable to have children of her own. The baby boy, who has been called Finnean, was born at a hospital in Chicago, Illnois. Finnean's biological parents are Mr and Mrs Connell. However he was delivered by his grandmother, Ms Casey. Mrs Casey, a mother-of-three who last gave birth 30 years ago, said she was grateful to be able to help her daughter. "The three of the happiest days of my life were giving birth to my daughters," she said, "and I thought I could choose to do this for someone I love." Mrs Casey underwent numerous tests to evaluate her medical and psychological condition, as specified by Illinois law on surrogate births. She fell pregnant after a second course of IVF treatment and gave birth to Finnean after 39 weeks.

Mrs Connell, a 35-year-old lecturer, admitted that she could not contain her emotion when her son was born. "I lost it," she said. "It's such a miracle."

She had also tried IVF treatment, but had delivered stillborn twins, and later suffered a miscarriage.

Sunflower Farmers Market CEO Michael Gilliland, 52, was accused of soliciting sex online with someone who identified herself as an underage girl. He faces a charge of felony child prostitution. Gilliland resigned from Sunflower, which has locations in seven states. He also founded Wild Oats Markets Inc., which was bought by Whole Foods Market in 2007. Gilliland was one of eight men arrested in the sting. Sunflower said he told the company he believed he was not guilty and would be exonerated. The rest of his prediction - that he would attend the game as he had every Super Bowl before - unfortunately did not come true.

Cook died Thursday after being hospitalized with a blood infection - an ailment that did not stop him from watching the Packers triumph on TV from a Milwaukee-area hospital.

She began creating bottle cap portraits back in 1993, when she started pondering the phrase â€œJesus Savesâ€. Saves what? â€“ Molly asked â€“ Does he just save souls, or if he had the time, would he also save things like string or rubber bands? Does he save bottle caps? And thatâ€™s when she took this question and turned it into a full size portrait of Jesus. â€œNow Iâ€™m doing bottle cap portraits of archetypal women that donâ have anything to do with Jesus saving anything. Now Iâ€™m the one who is saving bottle caps. Molly says in the artist statement on her official site.

The process of creating bottle cap portraits begins with a painted portrait on a sheet of metal. Molly then glues the vintage bottle caps in an overlapping pattern, sort of like scales on a snake. She pays great attention to details, making sure there are no visible glue traces, and using several transparent washes of glaze to define her portraits even further.

On Friday, This American Life reported that they came across a 1979 newspaper article that showed what seemed to be the original recipe for Coke. Buried on page 2B of the Feb. 18, 1979, edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a columnist reported finding the recipe, written by hand in a pharmacist’s notebook – not so strange considering Coke was invented by pharmacist John Pemberton and originally sold in pharmacies. The notebook had allegedly been passed down by various pharmacists and was in the hands of Everett Beal at the time the column was written. Investigative reporter Mark Pendergrast, who wrote “For God, Country & Coca-Cola” in 1993, told the radio program that “only two people at any given time know how to mix the 7X flavoring ingredient … it’s this carefully passed on secret ritual.”

A total of 14 pairs entered the contest at a southern beach resort town to celebrate Valentine's Day and attempt to beat the existing record of 32 hours, 7 minutes and 14 seconds set in Germany in 2009, The AP reports. Seven couples were still in an embrace 36 hours after the start of the contest. Three dropped out Monday morning local time, leaving four still in the competition. Organiser Somporn Naksuetrong said: "We didn't think we would find anybody that could break the record. "We want to show that love is meaningful and powerful. It's not easy to stand there and kiss for that long. They really have to help each other and support each other." The winning couple will receive 100,000 Baht (£2,000) prize money and a diamond ring worth 50,000 Baht. Couples must keep their lips connected at all times, even during supervised bathroom breaks permitted every three hours. Drinks are allowed through straws as long as the couples keep kissing.

Authorities say a Florida teen has told police that bite marks on her body came from "Twilight"-inspired vampire role playing not from someone who attacked her while she was out jogging. The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that the Monroe County Sheriff's Office has charged the 15-year-old girl with making a false report. Authorities say the girl is a fan of the vampire-based "Twilight" movies and books. The sheriff's office says the girl had engaged in "fantasy biting" with a 19-year-old man in August and worried her mother would see the marks. She told her mother she had been attacked while jogging.

When deputies couldn't find evidence of the attack, the girl eventually revealed what really happened. No charges have been filed against the 19-year-old man.

On Jan. 28, as protesters clashed with police early on in the turmoil and burned down the adjacent headquarters of Mubarak's ruling party, a handful of looters climbed a fire escape to the museum roof and lowered themselves on ropes from a glass-paneled ceiling onto the museum's top floor. Antiquities Minister Zahi Hawass said the museum's database department determined 18 objects were gone. Investigators searching for those behind the thefts were questioning dozens of people arrested over several days after last month's break-in.

A powerful earthquake struck Friday off the coast of Chile, throwing a scare into residents nearly a year after a massive temblor and tsunami wreaked death and destruction in the same region. There was no initial reports of casualties or damage, but media reports said the quake was felt in a wide area of central Chile, where some residents evacuated coastal areas as a precaution. The US Geological Survey and Chile's National Emergency Office (ONEMI) said the quake occurred in the Pacific some 70 kilometres (45 kilometres) from the city of Concepcion.

The USGS initially reported a major 7.0 magnitude, and later revised that to 6.8, which can still cause devastation.

The quake struck at 2005 GMT near a region in central Chile that was heavily damaged by an 8.8 magnitude earthquake and tsunami on February 27, 2010.

Rodrigo Ubilla, an Interior ministry official, said there were no casualties or damage to buildings reported and praised the "exemplary" reaction of the population, saying the people showed "maturity" after last year's
catastrophe.

Last year's disaster led to more than 500 deaths and $30 billion dollars in damage, and led to an inquiry over the lack of a timely tsunami warning.

Just for 15 minutes Judge Keith Schwartz was in the courtroom before he revoked Lindsay’s probation for a grand theft charges that she stole a $2500 diamond necklace from a Venice Beach, California jewelry store on January 22. The bail of Lindsay was set at $40,000 and her next hearing is set for February 23.

Judge Schwartz strictly warned Lindsay saying, “You’re no different than anyone else, so please don’t push your luck, because I’m telling you, things will be different,” further added, “Do you understand what I’m telling you? Lindsay replied, “Yes, your Honor”.
