It's been a punch line for years, and starting tomorrow, the color-coded terror alert system in our airports will start getting phased out.
Government officials say, by the end of April, it won't be used at all. There won't be any more signs telling you the threat level is orange. Instead, the Department of Homeland Security will just make announcements when threat levels are higher. The color-coded system has been under review for more than a year.
