Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl 2011 starting
The other big game this Sunday, Feb. 6 is Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl 2011, the adorable alternative to the Super Bowl. The seventh annual two-hour event features a lovable line up of puppies from shelters and rescues across the country engaging in a mock football game where dogs score touchdowns by crossing the goal line with a chew toy.
The Puppy Bowl has grown significantly since starting seven years, attracting about 1.1 million viewers last year.
More importantly, the event helps raise awareness for homeless animals, and encourages people to adopt from shelters.

Debuting this year are the new Puppy Cam -- which captures the action from the puppy's point-of-view -- the Kiss Cam featuring viewer submitted videos showcasing human-pet affection, and the addition of chicken cheerleaders squawking from the sidelines.
Fan-favorites like the water bowl cam, the blimp staffed with hamsters, and the Bissell Kitty Half-Time Show will also be back.
